DELTA-FC 1525: It is a highly compatible silicone-based foam control additive, which is very active in eliminating the existing foam and inhibiting its further formation.

It controls the foaming tendency of surfactants during dispersion and further processing in water- and glycol-based pigment pastes and universal colorants.

For universal colorants and water-based pigment concentrates based on DELTA-S 5225 or DELTA-DC 3590, DELTA-FC 1525 is particularly recommended as a foam control additive. Due to its stability in high shear processing, it functions well during the application of paints and inks.

DELTA-FC 1525 can efficiently be used in water-based inks as it shows no or minimal effects on film properties. Being emulsifiable in water, DELTA-FC 1525 can also be used in low PVC emulsion paints (glossy). Although it is very effective in foam elimination in acrylic/water based clear varnishes, the influence of DELTA-FC 1525 upon the transparency of clear or non-pigmented systems should be evaluated. Best results are obtained by adding the additive to the water or glycol solution before the foam generation.
