DELTA
specialties exhibited for the 4th time at the Middle East Coatings Show. The
exhibition was held in Cairo (Convention and Exhibition Centre) between 1-3
March 2011 just one month after Mubarak stepped down.

The MECS
is usually the largest
dedicated coatings event in the Middle East region for raw materials
suppliers and equipment manufacturers for the coatings industry but this time
over 80% of the visitors were Egyptians.
During this exhibition, DELTA launched 6 new
products:
MORDRY Lithium 2%:
Lithium
carboxylates promote through-drying. They are often used in
high solids coatings and water-dispersible alkyds. They do
not lose their effectiveness even in cool environments.
MORDRY 345:
MORDRY 345 is a stabilized,
ready-to-use lead-free blend of metals (Lithium containing)
suitable for use in a wide range of decorative paint
systems. It is characterized by giving lighter colors in
clear varnishes and white based enamels The pre-stabilized
mix drier can eliminate problems associated with coatings
such as gelling or instability resulting in degradation of
drying performance. It offers also a cost benefit in
addition to its ease of use and reduction of stock levels.
MORDRY
420:
MORDRY 420 can be efficiently applied in clear and brightly
pigmented polyurethane-modified alkyds and in conventional
alkyds, which tend to discolor As compared to Cobalt octoate,
MORDRY 420 can offer superior properties such as:
Minimization of discoloration of clear urethane-modified
alkyds in can, improvement of alkali resistance, increase in
yellowing resistance of air-drying alkyd finishes especially
those subjected to prolonged heat or alkaline fumes. It also
helps in the prevention of “loss of dry” on aging.
